For the past few months now I’ve been slowly increasing my cash in bank holdings in anticipation of a large investment to come.

Back in August it was my partner and I’s 5th year anniversary of boyfriend & girlfriend. We first got together just over 5 years after my 18th birthday and so I set about calculating the date at which I’d begin to have spent the majority of my adult life with her. That date was 14/11/2015.

And so on a freezing cold and very wet Saturday morning, I managed to convince her to join me in a hike along the Thames Path and up the steepest hill in the county:

At the very top, once she had caught her breath and finished complaining about being marched up a ridiculously steep hill, I asked her to marry me.

I’m delighted to announce that she said yes and we now begin the next stage of our lives together.
